Zippy's is closing one of its Las Vegas restaurants as the Hawaii comfort food chain reassesses its off-island strategy. The closure comes as local restaurant brands continue to learn the limits of transplanting Hawaii's dining culture to competitive continental markets.
The Hualapai Way restaurant in Las Vegas is closing on June 28, just over a year after it opened in March 2025.
The Hawaii-based chain, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, still operates four Las Vegas locations and says it continues to explore additional sites in the valley and in other states.
