The utility is advising customers to clear vegetation near structures, review evacuation plans, and sign up for emergency alerts ahead of peak fire weather. Hawaiian Electric is also reminding the public of its own equipment inspection and power shutoff protocols, which may be activated during high-wind, low-humidity events to reduce ignition risk.
