Torishin opened in Kakaako in March 2026, bringing the first yakitori restaurant in the United States to earn a Michelin star from New York to Hawaii. The Honolulu location sits inside the Ae'o condominium in Ward Village, the same building as Whole Foods Market Queen, and brought staff over from the New York original. Chicken is grilled over binchotan charcoal and served across an omakase course, with counter seating that puts each skewer in front of you as it is made. Local ingredients get worked into the menu alongside the traditional cuts. Reservations essential.
