Alan Wong's is back. The restaurant that helped define Hawaii Regional Cuisine opened on King Street in 1995, closed in November 2020 after 25 years, and has now returned in the former Hoku's space at The Kahala Hotel and Resort. The revamped concept carries a curated selection of signatures from the King Street years, including the tomato li hing salad and the chilled tomato soup paired with a kalua pig and foie gras grilled cheese. Dinner Tuesday through Saturday plus a Sunday brunch service with ocean views. Reservations strongly recommended.
